ABOUT THE CREATOR

Arrielle Sadé Mock (b. 1992) is a self-taught photographer, filmmaker, visual artist, arts educator, and community activist of nearly 7 years and an award-winning Digital Media Arts graduate from Specs Howard School of Media Arts. Mock’s artistic expressions are dedicated to the violence, identity, and mental illness in black, brown, and queer communities.​

Mock is a highly motivated, results-driven creator with a passion for creative expression, social justice, radical acceptance, and narrative-shifting media. She is committed to intuitive service and client satisfaction. She also possesses a steady performance history of working in various media-based positions, accompanied by exceptional PC and Abode skills with the dexterity to follow directions and communicate confidently at all levels. Mock is highly respected by her peers and mentors as remarkably assertive when working in a group, distinctively artistic, and devoted to demonstrating excellence in any effort or field.

Arrielle hopes that by sharing herself, her story, and her photography, that she is inspiring other creative, defiant individuals to step into their own power and continue to reject the strictures of expected behavior that have been placed upon them. Mock is firmly dedicated to continuing her role as a key player in the revitalization of Detroit by relentlessly striving for the betterment of the individuals that make up the vibrant community.
